保存最为完好的是东院。最出彩的是它的门楼，西方哥特式门顶和中国传统的砖雕结合，使其芳华难掩。门匾上书“平为福”，两侧影壁砖雕富贵牡丹花开。院内主宅正房是2层砖碹窑洞，门楣高处挂有“自省堂”阴刻石匾。西厢房主门留有石刻对联一副：“文成蕉叶书犹绿，吟到梅花句亦香”。东厢房主门留有石刻对联一副：“水色凝蓝辉宇栋，山光摇翠上楼台”。
